Artist/Musician/Photographer. Richard Cole made his mark in the 80's and 90's as a freelance photographer, fronting his own band The Chaotic Beat, writing and recording songs with the now mysterious artist known as “Alex B” and playing bass and providing vocals on demos with San Francisco artist PC Munoz. In 1991, Richard recorded a demo produced by Carolyn Fok. From those sessions, the track Another Moment was released on the album Funky Poetic Bootlegs. Richard last performed live with St. Louis blues guitarist Lou Porter in 1995. Richard's debut album is the avant garde funk album Funky Poetic Bootlegs featuring the singles We Funk (2 The Last Band) and Save Yourself. Richard Cole is also the author of the poetry collection, Revolution of the Soul. Amari Communications is the label releasing all Richard Cole music and is the publishing company holding Richard's growing catalog of songs. Now recording under the name of Amari Rahet, new recordings and archive material will be available on this website.
